Sunset on Sunday Nov. 11 marked 100 years from when churches across Canada rang their bells to announce the end of World War One.

Four volunteers from Westside took turns tolling our bell 100 times starting at 4:56 pm, official time of sunset in Barrie on Nov 11.

One hundred years ago, the people all believed it was the war to end all wars.  Sadly that was not true.  

Knowing how easily we can slide into conflict to solve disputes, let's focus on obeying the Golden Rule:

“Do for others what you want them to do for you: this is the meaning of the Law of Moses and of the teachings of the prophets."
